Privacy, in plain words
PartsPatch is a small used-auto-parts shop. We want the part on your car, not your data.
What we collect
- Contact info you type — when you send a part request, apply to pull, or send us a photo, we keep what you submitted so we can reply. That's the point of the form.
- Anonymous counts — we count actions like "someone searched for a headlight" to see what's working. These counts contain no names, accounts, or addresses.
- One optional cookie — if you tap "Yes" on our cookie note, we set a single random-number cookie (
pp_vid, kept 1 year). It ties the anonymous counts above to that random number, so we can see things like "this visitor searched, then checked a VIN, then asked Patch" and tell new visitors from returning ones. It's never linked to your name or contact info. Tap "No thanks" and we set nothing — the site works exactly the same.
What we never do
- No ads, no ad networks, no tracking pixels.
- No selling, renting, or sharing your info with anyone.
- No third-party analytics companies.
- VIN photos you send are used to read your VIN and then handled like the request they belong to — we don't publish them.
Where it lives
Everything sits in our own database. Delete requests: email [email protected] and we'll wipe your entries.
Changing your mind
Clear this site's cookies/site-data in your browser and the cookie note will ask again next visit.
